I am in tuck position for Christmas. Even though I haven't skied since a StairMaster injury dashed my national ski team hopes, I still remember, near the bottom of the hill, when you tuck. Gain as much speed as you can so you don't have to work too hard to make it to the chair lift. Of course ski racers, tuck to get over the finish line faster.
The principle is the same: the work is over and it's time to enjoy the ride.
At this point, the gifts are wrapped, the food is bought, the schedule of family events are in place and we look forward to many celebrations. Though we have a little work to do to prepare the house for Husband's family on Christmas day, it is time for the fun stuff. The laughter, the food, the games, the warmth, the love and celebration of the birth of Christ.
